The newsroom of the Los Angeles Times is in an uproar over a front-page ad that ran yesterday masquerading as a news story. The "article" was branded with an NBC logo, but that didn't stop members of the editorial staff from calling the stunt "embarrassing and demoralizing." With newspapers in need of all the money they can get, however, one imagines this revenue-generating approach will continue...
