In a shocking announcement, Dick Ebersol is out at NBC. Richard Sandomir scores the scoop that the Peacock's force of personality steps down after not being able to come to an agreement on a contract with his new Comcast bosses. Ebersol was named president of NBC Sports in 1989. The decision likely means the 2014 and 2016 Olympics will go to ESPN, and it wouldn't be a shock to see the Worldwide Leader hire the TV giant.
