There's more trouble at California's best-known paper. At least 10 staffers in the Los Angeles Times pressroom will lose their jobs. The moves come "in response to the decline in revenue and page counts." The Times has been hit with both layoffs and retirements in the recent past. The newest round will begin on or about August 28th...

It's chaos at The Talk, CBS's anwer to The View. Julie Chen - who just happens to be married to head honcho Les Moonves - is reportedly causing the problems, although other insiders claim it's actually Leah Remini who is the instigator. The latter plans to quit after Sharon Osbourne and Holly Robinson Peete announced they would not be returning for Season 2...

Bloomberg Businessweek hires Alan Bone as head of international circulation. The move is an attempt by the magazine to increase circulation in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia... Harper's Bazaar signs up Good Housekeeping vet Renée Lewin as associate publisher. She replaces Freeda Fawal-Farah who decamped for Town & Country...

Jim Brady gets a bigger gig. The former WashingtonPost.com executive editor will take over the Journal Register Company's daily news coverage. He joined the company in March... Tao Lin is getting $50,000 from Vintage Books for his new novel, Taipei, Taiwan. It's scheduled for publication in 2013 or 2014...

Keith Cartwright is gone at Martin Agency. He's been there for 15 months, joining as GCD after a successful career at W+K's New York office... HLN lays off a host of staffers in an effort to shore up the afternoon lineup... And there are changes at Allison & Partners, and more...
