Background: As anyone who's ever tiptoed below the Mason-Dixon Line can attest, visiting the American South is like landing in a whole different country, complete with its own culture, traditions, language and cuisine. And, since 1966, Southern Living has been documenting and helping to define that uniqueness, fulfilling its goal to "celebrate and share the best of southern life."
For the 56 years that the publication has been in existence, little has changed regarding Southern Living's content. The magazine covers home design and decorating, gardening and garden design, food, entertaining, and southern travel -- and all with a heavy southern drawl, of course. But, despite the lack of any major alterations, the magazine has recently undergone some slight tweaking....
