After years of what seems like non-stop expansion, Politico goes the other way, parting ways with at least a few staffers. Photographer Jay Westcott and technology reporter Jess Kamen are two of the faces who won't be in the newsroom any longer. Mediawatchers in Washington D.C. are unclear about how to term the departures. Are they layoffs or a "redirecting of resources"?
