Thursday was "take the buyout or else" day at The New York Times, also known as "Make a Break for Freedom" afternoon. The list of departures continues to trickle out and it includes Terry Schwadron, head of news operations, and assistant managing editor Jim Roberts, who had overseen the digital side of the paper. Joe Sexton, sports editor, says goodbye and joins ProPublica, while classical music critic James Oestreich is out, too.
