Could White House Press Secretary Jay Carney be leaving his post in the near future? That's the rumor bouncing around a couple of different channels in Washington, D.C. The better question, perhaps, is where will he end up if he does say goodbye to the Obama Administration? One thing's for sure: He won't be the next ambassador to Russia. Most likely, Carney will head to the relative safety of cable television, with MSNBC or CNN making the most sense. He'll certainly have plenty of options...

The Miami Herald loses publisher David Landsberg, who joins Goodwill Industries. He spent 30 years at the paper, the last seven and a half overseeing it and bringing it through the decline of print advertising. He has also been a Goodwill board member for nearly two decades. The search for his replacement could take up to two months... The Los Angeles Times fires Jason Felch, who "engaged in an inappropriate relationship" with a source. The investigative reporter also had a number of his stories about Occidental College corrected... Reuters promotes Tiffany Wu to Americas desk editor and deputy regional editor. She replaces Ciro Scotti, who will get a new assignment soon. Additionally, David Chance moves to economics director and Amran Abocar will head up the Canadian bureau... CQ Roll Call loses two more staffers. Energy and environmental policy reporter Emily Holden says goodbye to join Morning Consult, while Congressional writer Meredith Shiner leaves to "pursue other opportunities."...

Scott Brown parts ways with Fox News as he gears up to run for office. The former Massachusetts Senator is forming an exploratory committee to investigate the possibility of winning a seat in an upcoming New Hampshire election... Manuel Abud is the new president and CEO of Azteca America. He had been president of Telmundo's station group... Dave Schwartz returns to the Weather Channel. He had most recently been at start-up Network Weather but spent 20 years at the Weather Channel... Britt McHenry officially lands at ESPN. She had been a sports reporter at WJLA in Washington... Dana Lewis gets a job with Al Jazeera America. He has previously appeared on NBC News and Fox News...

Quartz joins the wave of brands expanding internationally, launching an India channel. Details are scarce, but it will have a dedicated staff. The New York Times, The Huffington Post and The Guardian are some of the companies with arms, or plans for them, already in place on the sub-continent... Sony Pictures Home Entertainment loses Matt Brown. He was executive vice president, worldwide commercial, there. The move comes before what are expected to be a large number of layoffs across the company, as it looks to cut costs by $100 million. They have already begun with the entire Interactive team being shown the door. Their jobs will be outsourced to third parties. That's at least 70 employees, with more expected soon... And there are changes at Billboard, Fortune and more...
