It's been a quiet week so far, but the few moves that have been made are echoing a bit. What to make of the news out of Budget Living, the Jonathan Safran Foer of magazines? Similarly precocious, Budget Living was also critically acclaimed and flush at a tender age, and is now experiencing a bumpier second act. The news that executive editor Alex Bhattacharji would move into the tiny office founding editor Sarah Gray Miller left behind would indicate an orderly succession, but what's this bit about hiring an editorial director (read: an outsider) to oversee the Budget ...
The How to Pitch series is worth its weight in gold. In just the first month I'd already benefited enough to consider the cost of joining well worth it.
