Still holding out hope for a newspaper job someday? Don't hold your breath. The latest installment in a series of circulation declines dropped on Monday and this storyline just gets uglier and uglier. Newspapers collectively lost 2.6 percent of their circulation over the past six months compared to the same period the year before, the biggest such decline since 1991. (At least they're not posting all-time drops quite yet.) The country's second largest chain, Knight Ridder, is facing a shareholder revolt and may put itself up for sale.
