Music writers take their résumés out for a Spin

As expected, Spin's new owners have begun cleaning out the upper reaches of the masthead. Chuck Klosterman, Marc Spitz, Dave "Lads" Itzkoff — all gone, as is photo editor Kathleen Kemp. There's no word of mass defections from either Rolling Stone or Blender to restock those cubicles (nor do we expect to hear of any) so it could just be that anyone who's ever written for Pitchfork or PopMatters (save Nick Sylvester) will flood the place with resumes instead. Stereogum has already posted an homage to the departed: somebody's home recording, "(I Was An) Intern At Spin....
The How to Pitch series is worth its weight in gold. In just the first month I'd already benefited enough to consider the cost of joining well worth it.
