Hour Makes Time for an Absolute Comeback
June 13, 2006This just in this afternoon: The shuttered, luxe New York City magazine Absolute has been bought and will apparently be resurrected by Detroit-based Hour Media, which already publishes New York Home along with a few more local magazines. Don't expect the magazine's original lineup—featuring relative heavyweights like Caroline Miller, Andrew Essex, Catherine Talese and Michael Grossman—to come running back...
Shop Etc. has been tweaking its formula again as of late, and seems to be tweaking its staff, as well. Deputy editor Karen Catchpole has been replaced by Theresa O'Rourke (formerly of Cosmopolitan and elsewhere)...
