Newsprint's Doomsday Clock ticked a few minutes closer to midnight this week. On top of Ann Marie Lipinski's resignation from the Chicago Tribune on Tuesday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitutionannounced it's cutting 189 jobs -- 8 percent of its total workforce -- because of "tough economic times." The Wall Street Journal followed suit, announcing via internal memo that it's cutting 50 editing jobs due to "strategic" reasons.
