If you know what's good for you, you're at the beach this week (or otherwise at the DNC) but here are the latest updates from the slow-motion Newspaper Apocalypse: McClatchy's Sacramento Bee, Kansas City Star, and Wichita Eagle are all offering buyouts to most (if not all) of their full-time employees, ahead of additional layoffs. The Bee cut 86 jobs two months ago, but things have gotten so much worse since then, they're going to have to do it again...
