Background: Inked was launched in late 2004 and was published quarterly by Seed Communications for one year before being sold to Downtown Media Group in 2006, who never published an issue. Donald Hellinger, president of Nylon Holding, Inc. (which publishes Nylon and Nylon Guys), acquired Inked in 2007. Rocky Rakovic, formerly an associate editor for Playboy, was named editor in April of 2010. The original mission of Inked -- to create a high-end entertainment and fashion magazine built around tattoo culture -- remains intact....
