According to McGraw-Hill Co. chairman and chief executive officer Terry McGraw, 93 potential bidders expressed interest in buying BusinessWeek, despite advertising revenue at the magazine falling 33 percent during the first six months of 2009 from the previous year. The leading candidate: Bloomberg, which previously dropped out of the process (and ironically broke the news about all the suitors). Bruce Wasserstein, owner of New York and The Deal, had been seen as the front-runner. Final bids are due on September 15...
