The Conan O'Brien-NBC departure dance finally draws to a close, with the Peacock reportedly paying the Pompadour $32.5 million, with an additional $7.5 million going toward severance for his employees. The host emerges with plenty of options, including FX and the Internet (where his fans are anyway). NBC's executives emerge looking like the bad guys -- because they are -- but Jay Leno's going on the offensive in order to remain above the fray. He says he knew his move to prime time was a bad idea but stayed a company man in order to save 175 jobs the show created....
