Background: Canada-based AskMen.com, one of the pioneer websites to provide practical advice for men, was founded in August 1999 by Ricardo Poupada, Christopher Bellerose Rovny and Luís Rodrigues, three grads of Concordia University's John Molson School of Business in Montreal. After its competitor TheMan.com shuttered in 2000, Askmen.com became the largest men's lifestyle website, with more than 40,000 articles available for free online. In June 2005, AskMen.com was acquired by IGN, an Internet gaming network, which was then acquired by News Corporation for $650 million.
