Trouble at the Huffington Post? Big-name hire Maura Egan leaves just five months after joining from The New York Times. She didn't give a reason for her departure other than a tersely worded email to WWD, but you have to wonder if this is the beginning of a larger trend. Can Arianna Huffington and Tim Armstrong keep the NYT influx happy, or are they about to lose some more huge hires? Think Peter Goodman, Tim O'Brien and Tom Zeller. We think they will likely be fine, but it's certainly something to keep your eye on...

Fortune promotes Megan Barnett from deputy managing editor to managing editor of Fortune.com. In an internal memo, editor Andy Serwer wrote, "Megan of course has been the acting head of Fortune.com and doing a great job of it under some tough circumstances, so the decision was an easy one and the move well deserved."...
