Bob Iger is in for a fight. The New York Post's Claire Atkinson reports the Disney chairman and CEO is facing a mini-stockholder revolt at the annual meeting over his increasing compensation package (now up to $30 million) and his unwillingness to name a CEO who will take over when Iger steps down in 2015. The options are current CFO James Rasulo and themes-park chief Tom Staggs, with the latter man in the pole position. The financial flop of John Carter won't make the proceedings any easier for the top man at the House of Mouse...

Billboard loses editor-in-chief Danyel Smith and publisher Lisa Ryan. Deputy editor Louis Hau and a handful of other staffers followed their colleagues out the door at the music magazine. Bill Werde will remain as editorial director... San Francisco loses style director Elizabeth Varnell to Angeleno, where she will be executive editor... Crain's Chicago Business promotes managing editor Michael Arndt to editor... The New York Observer expands its growing team, hiring Jessica Roy for its Betabeat tech blog. She will return to New York from San Francisco next month...

CNBC snags Kevin Krim as GM of digital. The former global head of digital at Bloomberg reports directly to network president Mark Hoffman. The move helps the financial channel increase its offerings online. "Our digital businesses have matured to a point where we need a digital general manager to develop and execute a cohesive digital strategy that will take CNBC to the next level," Hoffman wrote in a note announcing the hire... Roland Martin is back on CNN. He was suspended after sending out some perceived homophobic tweets on Super Bowl Sunday...

Google recruits Regina Dugan, who previously served as director of DARPA's research arm. We bet she knows some cool stuff. Business Insider thinks she'll be working closely with Sergey Brin on some longer term projects. He might, however, have just wanted her to tell him stories about cool guns and stuff... Buzzfeed continues its hiring streak, snagging Jezebel's Anna North to handle "lady issues" and Business Insider's Kevin Lincoln as sports guy... Dennis Wilen says Patch fired him in 2011 after he posted an editorial cartoon someone in HQ thought was racist... Larry King will do interviews for Carlos Slim's new Internet television network called Ora.tv... And there are changes at CNN, Vulture.com and more...
