Wired hires Joe Brown back. The Gizmodo editor-in-chief, who previously worked at the Conde Nast publication as a senior associate editor, will take on the new role of New York editor. Former Gizmodo EIC Joel Johnson will search for Brown's replacement at the Gawker Media tech blog. Brown's return is another move in the Scott Dadich-ification of Wired. "With Scott and the team he's put in place, it's like we’re getting the band back together," Brown said about his decision to leave Gizmodo. Best of luck to everyone involved...

ABC News scores a coup, landing New York Times national political correspondent Jeff Zeleny as senior Washington correspondent. The journo's recent scoops include the news that Karl Rove would form a new group to recruit Republicans to run for office, and he feels prepared for life on television because of recent forays into web video. Additionally, Susan Saulny joins ABC from the 'paper of record.' She will work in the D.C. bureau as a correspondent... Evan McMorris-Santoro moves from Talking Points Memo to BuzzFeed where he will continue to report on politics. He replaces Zeke Miller, who is taking a break after 14 months of non-stop work on the campaign trail. Two questions for Miller: Where is he headed next? (There's talk of Politico.) And will the prolific tweeter give it up during his short hiatus?...

Variety taps not one, not two, but three editors-in-chief. Andrew Wallenstein, Claudia Eller and Cynthia Littleton will share the duties. That, um, sounds like a nightmare, but we're sure they will figure out how to handle it all and divide up the duties. The weekly print edition debuts on March 26... Pursuit Magazine hires freelancer Kim Green as managing editor and recruits [FIND] Investigations owner Thomas Humphreys as executive editor... Golf Magazine executive editor Eamon Lynch takes over as managing editor of Golf.com...

Square loses Jared Fliesler, the company's vice president of user acquisition and business operations. The move is unrelated to the recent departure of chief operating officer Keith Rabois, who left in the wake of a sexual-harassment allegation... Zynga cuts 30 jobs and shuts offices in New York, Baltimore, Austin, Texas and McKinney, Texas... Shoutlet, a cloud-based marketing platform, hires Roy Jugessur as head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. That sounds like a fun job... Doner reportedly gets rid of 10 jobs in its Atlanta office, roughly one percent of the company-wide workforce... And there are changes at Rubenstein PR, NowThis News and more...
