The channel officially announced a new wave of digital media hires this week, and their points of origin are certainly interesting: an AOL Music VP; a co-founder of Upoc; the GM of Yahoo! Games, and the co-founders of the urban man's Lucky, Complex magazine. Considering that Viacom CEO Sumner Redstone is both obsessed with video games and eager to split his company in two to give MTV more room to grow, the channel may be primed for a big digital comeback....
