The Tribune isn't the only newspaper in Chicago with a fondness for cost cutting. In light of the Chicago Sun-Times' recent subpar financial performance—the extent of which was made clear once all the smoke from its faked circulation numbers lifted—the paper's parent announced it would eliminate 300 jobs at the Sun-Times and its affiliated papers, or roughly one out of every 10 employees. Sun-Times publisher John Cruikshank told his cross-town rival that the newsroom will be about the only thing that won't be touched, and that he hopes to eliminate the jobs ...
