Tech reporters aren't the only ones shunning print media in favor of a little DIY reportage on the Web. The Washington Postwas rocked on Monday by the defections of political editor John Harris and national political reporter Jim VandeHei, who announced they'd be forming a multi-platform, all-politics media venture with backing from Allbritton Communications, which will also begin publishing a new newspaper, The Capitol Leader, in January.
