The Quadrangle Group's purchase of Dennis Publishing's Maxim, Stuff, and Blender should close any minute now, and when it does, Stuff is widely expected to be a goner. The magazine has outlived its original purpose of outflanking FHM as the homeless man's Maxim (mission accomplished, as FHMclosed up shop on these shores a while back), and the new owners are said to be not exactly thrilled with financing its losses. (Newsstand sales have plunged from 300,000 copies an issue to around 175,000, which isn't a reassuring trend.) And then there's the question of who will ...
