MTV Launches Second Mobile Music Service
According to the article, the new Rhapsody America service will allow users to download MP3 files to their PC for 99 cents. But unlike the iPhone or Zune, which require connection to a PC, "users will be able to purchase music for their Verizon V Cast-enabled phones on-the-go -- meaning they can hear the latest Justin Timberlake song on their phone directly without having to plug anything into their computer first." As with Verizon V CAST's prior music service, customers can download a copy of the song directly to their phones, and then download a higher-quality copy later on when they're back at their PCs. There are also two unlimited subscription options with the service. The first one is the Rhapsody desktop subscription service, which remains the same at $9.95 per month. The new option is "PC to Go" which costs $14.95 per month. MTV Rolls Out a Mobile-Music Venture [AdAge] Email This Post | |||||||||||
