Rock This: Alternative Press Seeks New Managing Editor
Cleveland, Ohio is not only home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it’s also where the Alternative Press headquarters are, and if you are a music-loving editor willing to relocate for your career, the magazine has a managing editor opening with your name on it.
AP is on the hunt for a dynamic individual, who can assist on the daily operations of the editorial department. You’ll be working collaboratively with design, advertising, marketing and Web toward the creation of monthly issues, projects and digital initiatives. This isn’t a writing gig, so those who are looking to pen the next AFI cover story need not apply.
The ideal candidate will have a BA in English and at least one to two years of editorial experience. He or she will be a highly organized team player, who works well under deadlines, and have a full grasp of current youth culture — this means knowing that TBS is not just a cable network.
