This just in via Folio—Blender Magazine has folded; it’s April issue will be its last, and 30 people will lose their jobs, the magazine’s owner, Alpha Media Group, announced today.

Blender editor Joe Levy is now the new editor of Maxim and Maxim.com, which are consolidating. Former Maxim.com editor-in-chief Jay Woodruff was named chief content officer.

Blender’s losses last year were the worst of any music magazine tracked by the Publishers Information Bureau. Ad pages plummeted 30.6 percent and newsstand sales fell 17.8 percent.

Alpha will continue to produce Blender.com.
