What's the newest hiring and firing trend in magazines? Axing a pub's current staff in order to recruit refugees from a higher-profile book. Page Six hears that a number of former People reporters found jobs at OK!, which laid off members of its staff to make room for the newcomers. A rep for the magazine claimed it was "more of a restaffing," with five firings and nine hires. WWD reports that OK!signed upUs Weekly talent, as well.
