CNN fires Octavia Nasr after the 20-year veteran tweeted about her respect for Sayyed Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah following the Shiite cleric's passing. Parisa Khosravi, the senior vice president for CNN International Newsgathering explained the decision in a statement: "At this point, we believe that her credibility in her position as senior editor for Middle Eastern affairs has been compromised going forward." At least two bignames believe the media is too focused on objectivity (although one backed off his strong words a bit).
