Glenn Beck is leaving Fox News, and everyone has an opinion on What It All Means. Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly had some nice laughs about the whole thing. The host will continue to produce occasional content for the network, but that won't be very frequently (especially if Roger Ailes has his way). The Fox News head honcho doesn't care if the world thinks Beck was fired or left on his own accord; he just wants the outspoken figurehead gone. The frequent crier signed a new deal at Fox but will be ramping up efforts to produce content for his own multimedia production company, his news site, and perhaps on his own network. In the end, the split is probably best: Fox News will be fine, and Beck has plenty of options. Other big name media players will be watching closely to see if he can successfully transition...
Veteran Washington Post tech columnist Rob Pegoraro leaves the paper, citing exhaustion and the desire to do something else... Sixteen staffers take the buyout at Newsweek...
