The Chicago Sun-Times lays off its entire photography staff, a total of 28 employees. The paper's executives plan to use freelancers to shoot stills and video to supplement stories, and will also empower reporters to shoot images with their iPhones. Because that's totally the same thing as having trained photojournalists record the stories. Or not at all.
