It was inevitable, wasn't it? Tim Tebow, the former Florida quarterback who flamed out of the NFL, joins ESPN as an analyst for the SEC Network. The Worldwide Leader did as much as anyone to create the cult of Tebow, so it's only natural that he ends up there. "When I was 6 years old, I fell in love with the game of football, and while I continue to pursue my dream of playing quarterback in the NFL, this is an amazing opportunity to be part of the unparalleled passion of college football and the SEC," he told Tebow debuts during the January 6 national championship game featuring Auburn and Florida State. He's certainly popular but will he succeed? "I will be interested to see how objective he can be when it comes to the rest of the SEC and how critical he will be because he is always so positive about everything," USA Today's Lindsay Jones, tells Sports Illustrated...

It sounds like Ezra Klein will leave the Washington Post to start his own venture. He pitched the idea to his bosses in D.C., but they didn't want to part with the eight-figure investment he requested. Klein has started discussing the project with other potential investors. Elsewhere at the paper, Wesley Lowery joins the political team and will contribute to The Fix and Post Politics. He comes from the Boston Globe... Clyde Haberman, Stanley Fish and Verlyn Klinkenborg are out at The New York Times. A five-percent cut was the cause. "Contract writers, of whom I was one, were easiest to let go," Klinkenborg, who wrote the 'Rural Life' column, told the New York Observer... The New York Daily News hires Jotham Sederstrom as editor of its boroughs coverage. He had been editor-in-chief of The Commercial Observer...

Another big name leaves The New York Times Magazine as design director Arem Duplessis jumps to Apple, where he'll be creative director. That sounds like an awesome gig. "It's time for a new chapter and a new challenge," he tells Stephanie Murg at UnBeige... Susan Goldberg is leaving Bloomberg News to be executive editor at National Geographic, where she'll focus on "longform magazine stories and breaking web news." The former editor at the Cleveland Plain Dealer and USA Today joined Bloomberg in 2010. Executive editor Cesca Antonelli will take over her duties at Bloomberg... Charles Peters will stop writing the 'Tilting at Windmills' column in the Washington Monthly. The 87 year old cites not having "as much gas left in the tank" as the primary reason. We wish him the best...

Thomas Roberts will host Way Too Early on MSNBC. He takes over for Brian Shactman, who had replaced Willie Geist... Pat Kiernan lands a radio show on WABC. He'll appear weekdays at 5 p.m. and will stay on NY1 in the morning... ABC News recruits Hamish Macdonald as a London-based international affairs correspondent. He had been with Ten Network in Australia... Neetzan Zimmerman is leaving Gawker. The editor, known for being a viral genius of sorts, is leaving for the startup world. "We're f***ed, start traffic-whoring," wrote editor John Cook in a memo... And there are changes at Closer Weekly, Critical Mass and more...
