Salary negotiation is part art, part science. When negotiating your starting salary, there are special techniques that you can use to help you reach your goal and set yourself up for better negotiation down the line.
In this one-hour webcast, Jim Hopkinson will give an overview of the techniques and case studies covered in his book Salary Tutor. He'll focus specifically on how to negotiate salaries for new jobs.
You'll learn how to:
- Use the right words and techniques to get the salary you want
- Determine other elements that you can negotiate, including benefits and vacation time
- Use verbal and body language to communicate exactly what you’re looking for
- Decide on a time frame for re-negotiations and raises
- You'll participate in a live video discussion with an expert speaker who will provide insights, case studies, and real-world examples of strategies that have worked
- You'll have the chance to ask questions and get advice from the speaker in real time
- You'll receive a copy of the speaker's presentation slides and access to a recording of the presentation
- If you can't make it to the live presentation, you can watch the recording for one week after the live broadcast
