Create a Basic Website with HTML and CSS

If you are looking to create your own website for business or personal use, you'll need to learn basic HTML and CSS programming. HTML is an easy-to-learn computer language used as the backbone of every website including Facebook,, and even Google. CSS is the language that makes websites beautiful, and allows you to make your website function the way you want.

This class will teach you the basics of the HTML and CSS languages. You'll learn how to build a basic website from scratch and host it at the domain name of your choosing.

In this class, you will learn how to:

  • Understand the basic structures of HTML
  • Create a cascading style sheet (CSS)
  • Create web pages with images and hyperlinks
  • Host websites at any domain name

By the end of class, you will have:

A basic website hosted at the domain of your choosing, an understanding of how to use HTML and CSS to build web pages, and knowledge of where to buy domain names.

Admission requirements:

Photoshop experience is helpful but not required.
