Molly Knight Raskin is a freelance writer, reporter, and producer, formerly of The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter for The Baltimore Sun, where she covered breaking news and wrote features for the Arts & Society section. Molly writes frequently about health and medicine. In 2007 she was honored with a Rosalynn Carter Fellowship for Mental Health Journalism and in 2010 she received the American Psychoanalytic Association Award for Excellence in Journalism.

For the past ten years, Molly has written for newspapers, magazines, fashion advertorials, and book reviews. A graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, she began her career as a reporter for Fairchild Publications. Her very first freelance story -- an unsolicited pitch she sent on a whim -- landed in the style section of The Washington Post.
