Tumblr has been all over the tech press since its billion dollar sale to Yahoo! in 2013.  Yet, to many people, the blogging network remains an inscrutable barrage of fashionable hipsters and wacky cat GIFs.

Tumblr has much to offer those looking to market themselves or their organizations on a micro budget, and espcially to those who are already adept at cultivating micro-networks on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

In this class, we'll talk about the myths, misconceptions and powerful opportunities in this growing platform.  You'll focus on transferring strategies you may already use to create an active army of supporters on Tumblr.

In this class, you will learn how to:

  • Develop a strategy for your own Tumblr account
  • Get people to read and share your content
  • Integrate marketing efforts with other social media platforms

By the end of class, you will have:

A framework for a Tumblr strategy, including ideas on design, posting schedule and ways to cultivate followers.
